We gave this place a shot and here is the review. We sat down and right away noticed the spider web from the wall to the table light to the sugar packet holder. The table light flickered through the whole meal but being the place is new so what.Not to big a deal.Ordered the french onion soup and wife had the crab bisque. When it arrive you could tell the soup had been microwaved because the soup was piping hot but the few pieces of cheese(maybe a teaspoon worth) was not even melted telling me that it was not put in the oven.I got about 3-4 spoon fulls when up came a big ball of snot.It was so gross and it resembled a wet snotty snail.Back it went to the kitchen.When the crab bisque came for the wife it was watery like milk water and old bay with a very strong odor which she promptly sent back.At that time i should of listened to her and cut my loses and just paid for the drinks and been done but really wanting to give them a try we ordered dinner.I ordered the delmonico steak and she ordered the filet. Mine ordered medium and hers med well. Both came out raw.Me not wanting to be a pain in the ass ate what I could but the wife sent hers back with her already sour creamed potato and semi cook peas.When It came back with a cold potato melted sour cream and cold hard peas but the right temp for med well she ate alone as I had finished my RAW steak. When the 66 $ bill arrived I should have listened to her and left with just the iced tea bill.Side note: The waiter said the owner said he makes the french onion soup with beef bones and the snot wad was bone marrow.If thats the case I suggest he buys boxed beef stock because the soup tasted like dirty dishwater.(to the owner- You better get outa that kitchen cause everyone was complainig about the quality of the 10 item food on the menu

My sister in law and I have been to the Chicago steakhouse several times - enough times to be considered regulars. We have never experienced the unfortunate situations described from the reviewer from Bunnell. We gave gift certificates from this restaurant for Christmas gifts and our friends have reported the same excellent service and excellent food that we have. We've tried several items from the menu and all have been excellent from the soup, appetizers and salads (including Hearts of Palm salad) through the main courses. The steaks have all been excellent, in fact, the CSH filet is the best I have ever had. We've also tried the chicken, duck, and fish entrees and each has been excellent. This restaurant has it all: great weekend music, comfortable atmosphere, attentive ( but not over-bearing) and friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent food. We highly recommend this restaurant. .

rude vary obtuse just strait up hung up on me when i called in to ask for reservations for a group thought there must be a mistake so i called back wow i cant believe how rude i was treated i finally said i going to have to write a review on yelp about this you are just way out of line the guys said i don't even know what yelp is and hung up like really this is how you run your business i am so glad i did not go there to eat i can only imagine what the service is like on the inside .... i would never try this place service is just rude!!!!!

I took my parents there for a pre Valentine's day dinner since I was in town on business. Handicap parking was convent to the front door and they have valet service. The staff was so attentive, it was slightly off putting. I like attention but I almost felt like they wanted to chew my food for me. So the service level is extremely high. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals, from the salads to the steaks and "sweet English peas". If all you ever want to have is a basic salad, steak, potato and peas, then this is the place for you. It was all excellent. However, if you want to mix it up at all, they have no other choices. A family came in with a small boy and my Mom and I looked at each other and said "what the heck will he eat here?". I don't know if they have a children's menu or not. We didn't try dessert, though they did have two options for that. So maybe in a year or two, I'll be ready to have the exact same meal I had and will go back. Not good if they are looking for frequent ,repeat customers. There are other steakhouses that make you want to eat there every night, but not this one. Worth a try though. Decor is reminiscent of an old time steak house with red velvet wall paper, and there is live entertainment that my parents appreciated.

I'm not so sure I agree with the previous review. In fact, I think A.H. might be biased in some way. My fellow diners felt so, as there was no photo or location for this reviewer and the review was chock full of syntax & grammatical errors. This restaurateur is trying very hard to please and are doing a great project in an area of Daytona that sorely needs it. We decided to try the restaurant after reading a newspaper article, then after reading this previous Yelp review wanted to try it for ourselves. For starters, parking - doesn't seem like enough up front but they have free valet (for Pete's sake tip the guy!). Service/wait staff was moderately trained and attentive, in time I think experience will season them well. Appetizers - apparently they don't have crab bisque anymore? But the onion soup and the escargot was very good. Not sure about A.H.'s experience with the onion soup, but our diners enjoyed it. Salads - only 2 choices, but zero complaints for the table. More dressing choices might be an area to improve. Entrees - the Delmonico's were fantastic. Yes, they were cooked a tad bit below what was ordered, but honestly I can accept that better than an overcook. I sent mine back for a little more time on the grill, but the others were just fine with it. They loved them in fact. One diner had the duck - she was appreciative of the fact that it wasn't overloaded with orangey stuff. It was just right. The potatoes were great and the peas were a welcome sight to the usual "chef's vegetables" Perhaps a couple more side choices would be good? One key element we all noted was the pace of the food. The salads came out before the appetizers were finished and the entrees came out before the salads were done. The staff definitely needs to work on this in the future. Cocktails were prepared expertly, the wine list could use more choices, especially by the glass. I did note that the prices charged for the wine were reasonable. Dessert was brought home as we enjoy espresso with ours. Jury's still out on those. They definitely need more choices there as well as an espresso machine. You can't please everyone, but all in all if you are looking for a good steak in a vibey environment you are at the right place. Support this sincere local business and give them a shot. You'll be glad you did. P.S. - (added a few hours later) - the desserts were great. A chocolate mousse and a berry tart. We enjoyed them at home same evening Also....a nice touch I failed to mention earlier was that they had a pianist playing in the main dining room by the bar. A welcome addition and she was quite good. This is something that many restaurants fail to have these days and it is sorely missed. It totally upgraded the ambiance and our dining experience. Again, all four of us would go back again and definitely will. You should do the same.
